Treat yourself to the majestic splendor of The Refuge Golf Club, where 350 acres of woods and wetlands have been carved into one of the most unique layouts in the metro area. The magnificence of the course design is evident with island type tee boxes mixed within the wetlands and tree lined fairways, offering sensational views of nature throughout your 18-hole journey.
Developed in 2001 by Golf Course Architect Kevin Norby, this facility creates a beautiful up-north feel while remaining close to its suburban location in the Twin Cities region.
The Refuge Golf Club also offers an extensive practice area including a large severely undulating practice green, chipping green with practice bunker, and full length driving range. The Refuge has built the reputation of being one of the top courses in Minnesota and earned a rating of 4 ½ stars from Golf Digest. Golf Week magazine ranked The Refuge Golf Club in their Top 5 “Places to Play” in Minnesota for 2009 while also earning the honor of “The Favorite Facility to Play” by the Twin Cities Golf Guide! And based on features such as playability, service, friendliness, course conditions, etc., The Hacker’s Guide selected The Refuge Golf Club as their top Minnesota facility.
Among the fabulous amenities included at The Refuge is a breathtaking, 13,000 square foot clubhouse consisting of rock and cedar framing creating a beautiful western design. The clubhouse contains a full service Pro Shop, restaurant & bar, and beautiful banquet room accented by a 50′ vaulted ceiling while overlooking Grass Lake to the north. In such a remarkable setting, it is no wonder The Refuge remains as one of the most sought after wedding and outing venues in the Twin Cities.
