When I left Megan & Nathan’s Refuge Golf Club Wedding, all I could think about was how truly in love these two are. I’m not speaking merely of happy tears. The impression of how deeply each of them feels each other’s emotions was so striking. You’ll notice this during the first look and during their private vows even in the images. The barely holding it together. The delight in knowing the moment has finally arrived. What an absolute honor it was to observe and capture those moments throughout this beautiful day!
Green and White Wedding Design
I love how Megan designed her day with whites and greens. She designed the invitations herself, and integrated this design throughout signage and memorial tributes. (Naturally the green ringbox was the perfect choice to showcase her radiant cut diamond!) The depth of the green hue was so perfect for the guys, too. The satin texture made for some very elevated images of Nathan’s details. I love the match of the pocket square with the tie. I love how Megan and Nathan kept their decor simple and let the beautiful grounds of the venue shine.
Megan chose white florals to pop with the green bridesmaid dresses, and I just love the richness of this look! Her wedding dress was altered in a custom design that truly blew me away. The cut of the bodice with the neckline and off shoulder sleeves was a dream!
Wedding Party Hype Squad
One of the greatest joys I have as a wedding photographer is to be invited into the weddings of bridesmaids met at previous weddings (aka the best friends of the bride!) To truly join with friends in celebrating a couple’s marriage is my absolute favorite. What a treat to see past brides on the dance floor, and to know the depth of the loyalty and friendships in the room. Megan & Nathan’s wedding party brought their best to the whole day. Her sister and maid of honor should truly offer MOH coaching as she thought of everything. Nathan’s guys … what more can I say? They were dynamite. Just scroll to see the dance floor photos!
Letter to the Couple
Megan & Nathan,
You have such an epic crew of family and friends. Your dance floor was electric, as I knew it would be! Thank you for inviting me into the vivacity of your relationships and letting me witness the many firsts as you became husband and wife. I treasure you both and love how thoughtfully you kept this day focused on what mattered most. You’ve loved each other through so much and I wish you all the best. You are delightful, and I cannot wait to see what adventures the future holds for you.
With Love,
Jennifer
